Two razors for one shave

Anybody else do this? Sometimes I'll use my Progress @ 1.5 or so to buff some small multi-grain spots after a Slant shave, or the Slant to get the "wattle" under my chin after a DE89, or the like.

Probably my (lack of) technique, but I find that some days a razor that did great four shaves ago needs some help in spots today

It's occurred to me. I'll need a second razor though.
Well I have a $1 lord but that has already started rusting (1.5 months old lol).

I do this nearly every day. I typically do a two-pass shave (with touch up). I'll start with the more aggressive razor and then do the second pass with the less aggressive one. I also will often pick up a different model to shave under my nose, as not all razors seem to reach there very well.

Sounds to me like someone is looking for an iKon (OC/SB) razor :001_smile

I have done it, especially when I first went back to using a DE. Now I rarely do that unless I am just not getting a good shave.

I usually do this when I go on a buying spree and want to try more than one at once. I do one side with one and the other with a different one. Talk about First World problems.

I go with a Gillette slim adjustable cranked up to a 9 for the first pass and then EJ 89 or Cadet OC for the 2nd/clean up pass...A lot of people use multiple razors in their routine. I think it helps with problem areas as some razor's blade gaps and head designs work better in diiferent areas of the face/neck

I've done that often. Many times I'll use a much milder razor around my mouth, and under my chin. I say whatever works for you is just fine.

Today I used an R41 and finished with a Weber. Just for fun, sort of... but really because of hurrying and not feeling certain of my lather for the second pass. I rarely switch razors like this.... but yes, today I did.
