Two Pass v Three Pass Shaves

I like a 2 pass SR shave WTG. Second pass gets a little XTG on my cheeks. Lately, if I know a razor is really performing I’ll stop after one pass. Works just fine for me.

I do two passes everytime. Tricky WTG first - there are some areas on my lower neck where I have to start ATG-ish, or else it hurts when I do it on the leftovers from WTG. Then ATG, except for said areas where it's more of an XTG.

I used to play with the two pass, then the three pass shave. Then I returned to the one pass with a 'but'. Some areas are WTG, some XTG, some ATG.

This is what I have been doing for only a week or so. The results have been phenomenal. One pass, concentrating on technique, and "buffing" (weird term for me for some reason) a few spots and I am getting great, comfortable results.
