What's new

Two new scent additions

So, I only got into this whole wet shaving thing a week ago and AD bit me in all forms, particularly with the shaving creams.:tongue_sm My newest additions are the T&H 1805 and the TOBS Sandalwood. Wow, is all I can say about these two creams. The smells from both are incredible and it takes next to none to coax out a generous portion of thick lather. With the 1805 in particular, I barely touched my cheap boar brush to the cream stuck to the lid and I seriously had enough lather to shave 2-3 people with 2-3 passes. My skin feels great after using it and I love the subtle smell that lingers after I'm done.

I should have known it was a good sign when the gentleman at British Isle told me he would see me next year when I brought those two tubs to the counter. I imagine it will take me a long time to use them up. I can't wait to get my badger brush in a couple of days to see how well they lather up with that as opposed to the boar.

Great to hear about a wonderful shaving experience!

I'm new to Houston and was wondering if there are any other shaving places that you've been to around here!

I know of the place I went to (British Isles, in Rice Village area), and I know there is a Nordstrom's in the Galleria, but other than that I'm not sure of any brick and mortar stores.

See you next YEAR? You mean, see you next MONTH when you're back to see how wonderful Trafalgar smells and shaves, to say nothing about the aftershaves and colognes in the same line.

It's a lost cause, my friend. Give in.

I've been fortunate to have the T&H Rose and Sandalwood. You are right about the lather. Top shelf performer, regardless of the choice of fragrance. My next T&H will probably be 1805 and maybe Trafalgar. Not Lavender yet, though because I'm getting Castle Forbes for that spot.

Lifecheck drugstore on San Felipe and Post oak has a few products.
Also if you check some of the IndoPak grocery stores on Hilcroft and 59 you will find Godrej, Nivea, Dettol and Palmolive shaving creams. all at about $2 a tube.
