I'm interested to see what others have to say about this. I've been looking at GFT Rose soap recently but have not pulled the trigger yet.

I've tried GFT Rose and wasn't very impressed. Harder to lather than other soaps (it was my first try at Trumper's admittedly) and the scent was just OK to me. For Rose, I enjoy the Klarr Kabinett over the GFT. The Klarr had a better scent and creates amazing lather. Additionally, the Klarr is much more economical - a GFT 80g refill is $18, while you can get 500 g of Klarr for $20!
Another "rose" I like is Czech & Speake No 88, it is top shelf tallow based, but costs an arm and a leg ..

Mine was a dud. I have a puck of GFT Violet that isn't bad at all though.
I thought klar kabb was discontinued?

Klarr Kabinett is discontinued from everything I have seen. I've heard good things about QED rose soap but have not tried it myself.

My bad it was a great soap & I see one slab here in the soap locker. Sorry for the misdirection
I have also tried this soap and I was not impressed. It is difficult to lather and the lather is not very protective. The scent is fantastic.

Is there a reason the major English makers do not carry a rose soap anymore? I just saw where Charles at QED dropped his rose shave soap.
He still has "Rosie" in a shave stick but not in a puck. Not sure why he has one and not the other though.
