Trumper Coconut Oil: Cream vs. Soap

I find myself using soaps more and more. One of the creams I do still use is Trumper Coconut Oil. I get pretty good results from it, and I love the scent. I'm almost finished my tube, and as I contemplate replenishing I can't help but think about the soap.

To any of you gents who have experience with both the soap and the cream: Which do you prefer? Is the scent similar between the two?

The scent is pretty similar, albeit not purely identical. I generally prefer the cream. Its scent is slightly richer, and I prefer its performance. But then I'm a cream guy, so I'm probably biased.

Thanks for the input. I love the scent and performance of the cream. Perhaps it's best not to mess with a good thing.

Just because you check out the soap doesn't mean you have to stop using the cream. The only thing is, the more you acquire stuff gratuitously, the more you're flirting with an AD and having a stockpile of stuff you don't really need and/or rarely use. Trust me...I know.

preach on brother. tell it like it is.

I like them both. A lot. I'm regretting selling the puck of soap I had. What was I thinking, deciding I didn't need to have both?!

Oh I've been there... I've had to create a "Den B" which is a cabinet jammed full of all the stuff I never/rarely use. Amazingly, the AD has been in remission over the past couple months...

Having said that, you guys definitely have me thinking about buying both!

The coconut cream has a very nice aroma which is stronger than the soap's smell. But the soap -- at least the tallow-based variety provides a much more dense and cushioning lather than the cream.

The only problem I can see with your recommendation is that Trumper soaps haven't been tallow-based in years. Essentially you're whetting his whistle for stuff he'll really have to hunt hard for, or may not be able to find at all.
