Traveling With A TTO

I have been traveling with my Merkur 38HD C. This razor is super easy to get dry after a shave prior to packing. I have a Red Tip that I like as well and was thinking about traveling with it, but it looks like there are nooks and crannies in which water can hide and not be easily dried off. Is there an easy to ensure that the razor is dry prior to packing? Am I overthinking this? Should I just open the silos and give it a good shake or two, towel it off and call it a day? I appreciate your input.

That Red Tip has survived 60 years or so and probably been packed away with water inside plenty of times.

You have more to fear from an over-zealous TSA agent.

You mean I will have to buy it from him on ebay again??? :mad3:

Good point on the water.

Just take out the blade, and put a pad of tissue paper on it: capillary action should pull out any "hiding" water. Like dpm802 says, these razors have been put up wet for decades.
