So I have a Travel Tech with a case on the way but a couple of the straps on the inside are broken. Has anyone ever restored one of these, or made their own case for this razor. I would love some Ideas.

I have seen some made out of altoid containers. The one you have can probably be fixed with new straps and some sewing skills...

I do have access to allot of leather and leather working tools as my father is a master falconer and manufactures his own hoods jesses gloves and the like. The trick will be finding a tool to do the top stitch without going all the way through to the outside.
Or just go on eBay and but another good case which may be cheaper.

just cruised the bay and didn't see any cases with out razors up for bid
i seen these razors in cases sold for ten bucks on the bay or bst.

True, I could just buy another set with case quality in mind. My ultimate goal is to mate the handle to a R41 head and have a perfect little travel razor
I have one of those razors with a case, I think mine was made in Austria. Iam thinking about making something else to use as a case, it's nice but I notice the straps are real thin and one is starting to crack. I have a military gem fold up case that I thought I reproduce for my travel tech.

Do you have a pic of the GEM case?
The gem case is made of canvas, I got it with a ever ready SE razor, a blade box, and a piece of mirror. It simply folds up and the string wraps around the case to keep it closed.
Here is a picture of my travel tech. I have seen made on Austria, Germany, and now Japan. Guess Gillette used whoever they could to make them the cheapest.

Very cool, how did you make the insert?
I epoxied plastic strips in to form the compartments and then glued in the felt.

Just got done making this the other day. I liked my gem canvas case but didn't like that I couldn't use my ball tech, so I made one just like it that included a horizontal pocket with flap for the handle.
The gem case if I'm the left and my homemade if on the right, this was my first sewing project.
