I am sure you all have heard the news by now, this occured in a town just three towns from me in which I just moved from 3 years ago, I have friends with kids in that school, and thank God they all are allright, I am sure however I havent heard about others that I do know the parents..

Could we all take a moment to hug our children and have some thoughts for the families who lost something today? it would be appreciated...

thanks

I am at a loss for words. My heart breaks for all of the families who lost a loved one this morning in this tragedy. Prayers for the entire community.

Feel free to post your well wishes for the families and sympathy for the victims here.

ANYTHING beyond that isn't welcome.

This will be the only warning on the subject.

My heart is broken for those poor little children. I think a part of me left with those kids today. I feel that they are in a good place though. I hope the parents and loved ones can find a way to carry on, although I don't know if I could.

First thinkg I saw was when I turned on my TV was the coverage on this tragedy...my thoughts n prayers to all those at the school....:closedeye

I was in shock when I heard this. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families. My thoughts are also with all of the Emergency service Personell and school staff who have to live with what they witnessed today.

True that, I knew a lot of those EMS folks, I was not only a former EMS person myself, but a PA in the ER at Danbury Hospital (where the victims were taken) (I dont work there anymore tho) and I was on the Newtown EMS Volunteeer Ambulance Board of Directors when I lived there.

My thoughts and prayers are with that community as well. My aunt brought up a good point, she said "how do we now tell our kids there are no monsters under the bed?" Truly sad....

Very well put.
I had to turn the news off here in the barbershop. It was too darn depressing. Our thoughts are with the families effected :(

This by far hurts me the most. I live with my entire family. 13 of us. 3 are 3,4,5. the rage, depression, the mixture it had brought to me, is by far nowhere to the extent of what these parents and families have been through. I hope my fellow people that are suffering through this can come through this tragedy. I truly am sorry.

I can't imagine the pain the families of the victims are going through. This is such a cowardly act. It is a sad day for the whole country.

This one affected me more than any of the other senseless horrific mass killings. To shoot such young innocent children really takes a deranged individual. It's a terrible tragedy for the families, the town, and this country. My heart is with the families.

This is truly a sad day. Our prayers go out to not only the families of the victims but also to their classmates, neighbors, friends and loved ones.

I got sick to my stomach when thinking about this......as a parent, your mind goes to that place you dread....'what if it was my kids?'......I cannot imagine the pain for the families and I hope they will eventually find solace.
