Nice score! Is this a silver plated razor? If it is, have you considered giving it the aluminum foil / baking soda / hot water treatment? You'd be very surprised how well silver plated razors can turn around using this trick and a little bit of silver polish.

Nice score, but it does not need a replate. You could try the aluminum foil baking soda trick as said above, or just use some MAAS polish and you won't believe how nice it will get. I've found one of these that was pretty much black and cleaned it up to collector grade condition with not much work at all.
