Gillette Super Silver blades were made from the 1970's right up to 2000. I have used a few blades from the 70's vintage and some from the mid-80's. Both were excellent blades being sharp, smooth and long lasting. Check the Mr. Razor Gillette Blade database to see if you can identify your blade. They look something like the orange packaging from 2000. The blade case is different. Hope they work for you. I would suspect they will be as good as any blade made today.

I dated them to be from 1974 probably made in Germany. I've used vintage Platinum Plus with good results and took a gamble hoping these will be similar or even better.

I think you will like them very much. I have a small supply of Gillette V2 Super Silver blades dating 1975 and made in Germany. They and Gillette Platinum Plus blades made in their Annecy, France plant are probably the best Gillette blades I have used. Side to side comparison would be hard for me to differentiate between the two blades as to which are the better blades. I prefer these blades to any modern blade in performance. They last a week plus for me easily. I like Gillette Silver Blues and Gillette Black but they only last for 4 shaves. Please report back on your impressions.
