Tomorrow is day 1

The long wait is over, my first straight razor arrived in the mail this afternoon. It took a long trip from Israel to New York than over to Baghdad. Thanks to the B&B classifieds and a real gentleman in Israel I will have my first straight razor shave tomorrow morning.

The razor is a Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. 6/8. Still waiting on a strop so tomorrow will probably be the first shave and then I will have to take a pause until the strop arrives. I can't wait though.

Wish me luck, and I will report my results tomorrow.

Best of luck and be sure to post how it goes...if it doesn't go that well, dont lose heart...the first shave usually sucks because of poor technique.

Oh...and thanks for your Service! Get yourself over to the Active Duty thread and get a tag (assuming you're in the Service....might be an overstatement now that we are shifting gears in Iraq). If you're a diplomat...then perhaps we need a Dept of State Badge?
