Tom Ford Black Orchid

I expect it to be in the next top 10. Wearing it today and DAMN this is good!

I didn't like it at first, and now love it. Any other fans of Black Orchid?

Never tried Black Orchid, but I'm not surprised it's outstanding. Anything that man touches is pure gold.

I'll have to give it a try.

I bought a bottle for my wife and she loves it. I have Tom Ford for men and Extreme, and occasionally I'll put just the tiniest bit of Black Orchid on my chest as an undertone for the Extreme. Not too much or it will overpower the other scent. It lasts forever too.

Black is dark and Orchid is floral so for the men's version give us an articulate written olfactory description?

There is no "men's" version. There is just one Black Orchid. While it was introduced as a female targeted scent, lots of men liked it, so it has quietly moved to many a men's cologne counter.

Some may not like it, but there is nothing about it that is inherently male or female IMO.

I have only briefly tried it. Reminded me of Bandit. It's kind of a dirty floral. It is considerd to be a bit of "knicker scent."

I'm not a huge Tom Ford fragrance fan. However, my Neroli Portofino is itching for it to warm up to make its summer debut.

I like some of the TF scents, but sadly not this...sold mine after a few sprays. I much preferred Black Violet.
Or indeed - not a Ford scent - Dali.

I find TF a bit hit & miss for my skin. Azure Lime for example - wonderful opening but only for a few minutes, nice-only scent thereafter. Though that is not something I could accuse Black Orchid of!

I do like his Grey Vetiver and Lavande.

Actually, it looks like it started out as a men's scent then was reformatted as a woman's perfume.

You're right about the knicker bit though. LOL.
