Toilet paper changing and gender

I think I have observed over the years that men tend to change the toilet paper roll so that it feeds from the top, while women tend to change the toilet paper so that it feeds from the bottom. Observations from you appreciated.

Now as to why I have been paying attention to this, I know I may need serious help.

I also prefer the paper to feed from the back (against the wall), and have read most men prefer it that way. Women on the other hand, seem to prefer it spooling down on the front.

I don't think this has anything to do with gender.

I think most Americans prefer that it spools over the top, rather than under (close to the wall). Maybe they have a different preference in other countries?

Yes, it could be cultural not gender based. Perhaps, Americans like it from it the top, while others may not. This is why I started this thread. I like to understand.

I found these survey results from an online poll:

Yes, the waterfall method (over the top) 452
Yes, the underhand method (from the back) 58
No, there is no "right" way. That's silly. 91

Yes, I have noticed the exact same. I have even seen men and women argue about it.

For me, personally, I like it feeding from the top because I don't like having to grope behind the roll to find the end. Also, it seems easier to tear off the desired amount.

I have no idea why women want it feeding from the back.

It is one of those mysteries of life, "It is what it is".

And yes you need help.:wink2:

Over the front is the right way. At least that's what I have been told, and it makes catching a lost end the easiest.

If you have a child of potty training age you flip it the other way so they don't unroll the whole thing with the slap down method.

I dunno, I tend to spool it over the top, whereas, my wife spools it from the bottom. while it may sound petty, it does feel like I have to reach further for the bog roll when it it's hanging close to the wall

From the rear (for the rear) LOL we do it from the rear in this house it's amazing how much toilet paper can be unspooled by a mischievous cat or dog when it's over the top  we have 6 of one and 4 of the other

Wow.. I can't believe there are this many people who have ever consciously thought about the subject. I've never noticed in my entire life.

However I take it out of the package and put it in on the roller is how it is. At any given time, it can be either way.

Seems Chuck Norris has an opinion and who's gonna argue with him?

Male here- over the top, that way it is closest to my grip, no complaints from the female of the house either.
