What's new

Today was a good day in the wild

F2 Fatboy, m4 Schick Adjustable. $5 each.... Tried the Schick tonight, that thing probably should have been a world-beater. Fatboy was unbelievably pristine aside from the fact that someone dropped it HARD on an endcap at one point in its life and their bending it back marred the plating slightly on the endcap (not even through the plate, but you can see it... who cares). I even stripped it bc that date unscrews with a clip bent right. Didn't even have cream mummified inside.... It was the most painless fatboy I've ever dealt with... I'd buy a completely green fatboy for $5... Anyway, just answers the oft asked question about the wild being dry or not.... Right place, right time...

Both were ridiculously cheap. I actually passed on an I1 for the same price, but it seemed redundant with the adjustable.

Nice finds! What are the Schick adjustable injectors like to use? What's the street talk on these? I am a fan of the regular Schick injectors.

I liked it way more than my G. It has a great amount of grip and the adjustment gives you a huge range of aggression. It is light like other injectors, but there is something about it that makes it not bothersome to me. First shave with it I cranked it wide open to 8 and it just blitzed through 3 days growth. My only word of warning on them would be to really make sure you find one with a strong spring bc as far as I can tell, there is no way to easily re-tighten it like you can with other injectors.

Keeping with the theme of the thread, it is actually a far better shaving razor than a fatboy. Was the dial originally the fb's competition from schick or was it brought out to compete with the slim?
