TOBS Rose vs GFT Rose

I prefer the Taylor's, it's just a matter of personal preference, though.
Trumpers. I just found the scent better, and the lather is to die for. My best two shaves have come with Trumpers rose.
I think both Cyril R Salter and Truefitt & Hill are better than those two with T&H being the best.
Both are excellent, but I voted for Trumpers.
I like the overall quality of GFT more.

TOBS for this poll, but I just got a tub of D.R. Harris's Rose that I can't wait to use.
Be careful - I used to have a TOBS Rose, but it was quickly claimed by the Mrs.

What about TOBS Rose vs. DR Harris Rose?
I have both, but haven't really put them "head to head". At first whiff, I though they were vitually identical. Now I'm going to have to find out! Both are excellent BTW.

Well here it is. To me both creams produce excellent lather so you're basically splitting hairs
there to tell the difference.Both contain:
Aqua, stearic acid, myristic acid, potassium hydroxide, coconut acid, glycerine in that order. Then comes
TOBS: triethanoamine, sodium hydroxide, parfum
GFT: parfum, triethanoamine, sodium hydroxide
Then: methylparaben, propylparaben.
Both creams contain CI17200 which is a red colour. GFT contains CI16035 which is another red colour. TOBS is only slightly pink wheras GFT is RED!!
As for the fragrance, both contain citronellol and cinnamyl alcohol. TOBS also has geraniol, linalool and citral limonene. Even though parfum is further up the list of ingredients for GFT, TOBS smells slightly stronger and sweeter.
In summary - there's bugger all difference!
Edit: Looks like the Harris rose cream is just as red/pink as Trumpers. I'd go the TOBS version personally.

Of the two, I prefer Tobs. But, my personal favorite is D.R. Harris rose.
While I agree TOBS creams are excellent value, I wouldn't forego Trumpers 'coz it has similar ingredients. If you look at the ingredients list of any two soaps or creams they will likely be quite similar. Small differences in recipe or order of ingredients or manufacturing process can have drastic consequences. Just look at some reformulated soaps - the are essentially the same but the source of the first ingredient (the fatty acid) can render a formerly triple A soap basically useless.
Excellent choice! You really couldn't go wrong either way. I know my wife loves the TOBS Rose. Seems the two are similar enough, but TOBS is less expensive from what I've seen. Good luck! I hope she enjoys it.
