TOBS Lavender Issue Anyone?

I have been wet shaving for only a couple months, but of my soaps and creams, I have identified a specific issue with TOBS Lavender. I can't explain it, besides the fact the lather is very thick no matter what amount I use, and I seem to get bad razor burn and nicks only when I use this cream. I am not against TOBS, I recently tried the avacado and loved it. Am I alone in this? Is this just an issue with lathering? I'm at a loss here

honestly I had bad razor burn the other day. I thought it was the TOBS. swear it was. But i had good shaves with it before, it's Mr. Taylors.
Then I remember months ago I had bad razor burn. my brother suggested it was the razor.
he was right. i had forgotten to change the blade after 6 days. both occassions. I never blame the soap unless I get skin irritation. i've shaved with yardley bath soap and had good results with a new blade.
I think the avocado formula is relatively the same. i hear it smells great. I found I like earthy natural smells and this Mr. Taylors is just too "perfumy", if that makes any sense. at first I lked it but 9 months later and it just sits there staring enviously at my d.r. harris soap- he gets the useage

Some people have a sensitivity to lavender. I know that I do, and I get red blotches on my face even if there is only a tiny bit of lavender in the cream. Have you used other lavender soaps or creams without a problem? If not, that might be the issue.

Nope, this was the first lavender product I have ever used. You may be on to something :a14:

I used a new blade today, but I have used new blades with other soapsand creams too and never had this problem. The TOBS Avacodo smells off-putting to me, but I like the shave it provides. I suggest trying it first. I know Garry's Sample Shop carries it.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Its probably a reaction to the scent. Ive developed an allergy to tobs eton college over the past several months, I still use lavender but sometimes it irritates my lips.

I usually never have any issues with fragrances, but I do with TOBS.
