TN/Southeast Meetup

Good morning all! Whiteweed and myself would like to host a meetup for fellow wetshavers and B&B members soon. Location is yet to be determined, but we would like to have it here in Knoxville.

What we would like to know is what day, time, and how much time ahead you need to have it on the calendar. I was thinking we could have this meetup in August or September, or July at the earliest.

What do you all think? Are you interested? What would you like to see/have at the meetup? I'm going to see if any suppliers are willing to give samples up to hand out or prizes for drawings. (Sue, Sue, Wendy, anyone else??) Any and all ideas and suggestions are welcome!

If you know of any members that like close, but may not be in TN (ie, KY, NC, SC, GA, etc) that might want to make the drive please forward this message or put them in contact with me!

I'd be willing to make the drive. I live in Southeast Ky. I'm right on the border across from Kingsport and Johnson City. A nice weekend in August would be great. Shoot me a PM with any details, and I'll spread the word with the few local wet shavers around here. Cheers!

The early Fall is a good time for me - September, October. August is a complete write-off in the University housing world. Training, move-ins, and the first two weeks of class are enough to drive even the most energetic staff and students into the ground.

I think this sounds like fun, and may even ask AlabamaLawyer if he wants to come. I've driven longer for weirder things, that's for sure.

I have never seen anyone shave with a straight. I would find that interesting. Could someone provide shaves with a straight? We could sign a wavier. Could their be a buy/sell/trade table? Maybe a collector/display table so some of us could see those rare items. Is there an Art of shaving, etc. in Knoxville area that could join in? Just wondering.

Great idea even from one of the NC guys; Unfortunately for me, SWMBO shares the 25th with her birthday ,and I must obey. Knowing that its football season, when I threw the idea about going to Knoxville for her birthday, she asked if was for a game. Hope everything works out for the meet-up and another can be had in the future.

HEy Guys, I'm getting really excited about the meetup! If I can get an semi-accurate headcount, I can know what to tell the restaurant/establishment we'll be meeting and go ahead and get it reserved. I should have a couple of guys that are local here that aren't members here tagging along as well.

Would you guys prefer a restaurant/Pub/Bar?? Let me know!

Yes, PLEASE bring stuff to B/S/T at the meetup. I'll have several things there, and hope to have samples/freebies from our fine vendors. (Maybe even a couple of nice things as door prizes, etc!)
