Tips for brush care please?

So I looked in the stickies and did a quick search but didn't really turn up what I'm looking for. I am still new wet shaving and just started using brushes. I was given a couple nice brushes and I don't want to ruin them. Which leads me to my question.

What do you all do as far as a care routine for your daily brushes? I just rinsed it well and then shook and squeezed out what water I could and stood it on end to air dry. Is that sufficient or do they need a better cleaning that that?

that's pretty much it... give a good rinse, a good shake, and a light stropping on a clean towel to remove most of the remaining moisture, and let it air dry......

Most important thing is rinsing. Remember to rinse bristles up too. This makes sure water gets down into the knot to flush out soap. Shake gently, brush on a dry towel with painting strokes and let dry
