was looking at this model (I still have some amazon points so it certainly makes sense from a financial standpoint) but is anyone familiar with this particular storage unit?

anyone have any other recommendations before I pull the trigger?

thanks Andy - and figurin I'm going to use amazon points - I think it's a no brainer

just didn't know if anyone had any specific recommendations of other pieces.... and with my ever growing pen collection... i thought I'd get a piece that's overkill now.

There is no overkill. I'm sure sometime (probably sooner than later) you will need a bigger box!

Nice chest and a good price but remember that you wouldn't want certain vintage pens exposed to long periods of light, they'll fade or discolor up in the top section.

I've got one similar to that though, they are a good looking display. For pure storage I also have a wooden tool box. You'll need to buy and cut some slotted trays to line the drawers but it will easily hold 80 pens.
