I scored three new fatboys for the collection today. I feel terrible for buying duplicates of what I have something I said I would never do. The need to constantly buy razors has really taken hold of me.

6 of my fatboys have come here from BST and 2 today from an estate sale. I could not bring myself to pay $50 + for barely user grade fatboys on the Bay. I did buy just 1 on the Bay a few moths ago and it arrived in pieces with 80% of the plating missing. If you troll hard on BST for a few days you will get an outstanding razor for an excellent price.
i had 3 of those myself. Kept one, sold one to my brother in law and one to my brother.

If you are collecting then it is nice to have a selection to choose your best example. If you are using then out of a hand full there will always be one that gives just a little better experience and of course one should have a backup or two. So when you get down to it, having a bucket of FatBoys, where is the downside?
Sweet Gary. Been looking for those but are harder to come by than toggles it seems for me. Need to find a a backup myself just like you don't trust the bay. Ah, the antique fairs can't come quick enough.

I've had a recent run of good luck with Slims and now have 5 in my small collection. I also have 3 fatboys, two of which are out for replating. Some of my friends may be getting shaving sets for Christmas!

@Arnav I do not need all three but have a horrible desire to grab a good deal when I am able. I have tons of razors I do not need but can trade when something comes up that I really want. The barter system with these razors is incredibly useful.

You have enough of them to experiment with plating or coating options. I've seen a couple of awesome looking flat black coated ones. . .

I was thinking about getting some of my razors done with cerakote but decided that a ratty beat up old razor is more appealing to me than a murdered out black razor. The razors that are posted here that have had the cerakote finish do look nice though just not for me.
If you are ever looking for a few bucks, I am looking for a nice fatboy. Haha

@Cartier the other part of my obsession does not allow me to sell my razors I am turning into a hoarder. If you want good quality razors troll the BST forums here and I can guarantee you will find exactly what you are looking for at a good price. I have bought razors on the Bay for $50+ in so so condition and the next day I see here on BST the same razor in near mint condition for $30.00. Add B&B to your smart phone start screen and check in on BST every 30 minutes through out the day.
Of course there's also the Rhodium, Gold or Nickel re-plate options. . .
