Evening all!! Couple of weeks ago i purchased a Tassimo T40 and so far its been great

I love the espressos it makes and tonight i made my first latte!

Im no coffee expert at all so what might be good to me, might not to you.

Anyone else like it?

Post what brands you have used and what you have made and how you like it/hate it etc

Nice! My cousin got one of those super-doohickeys for Christmas last year along with a box of most combos, from hot chocolate for the kids to lattes, cappuccinos and more. I'm a coffee snob, but I have to say - it was not so bad! Not my "cup of tea" though. First off, everything's obviously powdered, from the coffee to the milk. Buying the boxes gets expensive fast. If you've got a room full of expectant people - you'll be babysitting The Machine for a while, and guest self-service might be ill-advised. But to have on the counter for the one-off treats and if you're not a huge coffee drinker and/or snob - I think they're great. There's something for everyone, especially those that use K-Cups, as they also have tea and even a make-your-own cup.

Coffee's a drink, not a religion. If you like what's in the cup that's ultimately what matters in the end. Different people have different priorities/needs/wants/budgets/expectations/etc. If you highly value convenience then single serve machines are difficult to beat. I'd never use one but I'm willing to deal with the learning curve and lesser convenience of a semiauto machine paired with a good grinder to eke out as much quality as I can. YMMV definitely applies to coffee as well.

A snob looks down on others and feels a sense of superiority about one's self. One can definitely appreciate coffee (or anything, for that matter) without being a snob. I prefer what I prefer but I realize that others can and do have differing preferences on just about any topic out there.

I picked up a used Braun Tassimo for $6 at Goodwill Saturday - these brewers make a decent cup for the days I am in a hurry - good luck with it and be sure to try Carte Noire Voluptuoso Coarse.
