What's new

This is what I am looking for

When I first started wet shaving I purchased an Edwin Jagger Best Badger small size brush. It is quite good, but I am hoping get one brush that is the best for for how I am shaving now and my personal preferences, which are as follows:

1) I shave exclusively with creams and alternate amongst The Body Shop Macca root, C&E Nomad and Bigelow

2) I make the lather in a bowl from Ikea

3) I would like a knot with a larger diameter. The E&J small has a 19mm diameter knot and I was thinking something along the lines of 21 to 23mms.

4) I am unsure of the loft of the E&J small and of the best loft size for making the cream in the bowl

5) The E&J small has a small handle and I am looking for something appreciably longer and thicker; also since I am looking for one brush I would like the handle to be of good quality and appeal, not just plain ivory if possible, but looks are secondary to performance and comfort

6) I like the best badger hair (it is not too soft or hard and not floppy which I would not like) and do not know whether another grade of hair works better for the manner in which I make cream

I am very appreciative of advise for fellow members who have experience with many different brushes and making cream in a bowl as I do. Making lather on the face is not something I want to do.
