was this in Boston? I thought the seriousness of both the bill collector, and the kid writing the emails was just too funny.....

It does not appear to be from Boston. The spelling of cheque and the au address lead me to think Australia. But the humor worked for me.
Sorry. I didn't see the humor. Frankly, while I am loathe to admit it, I felt sorry for the Utility employee. I suspect her job is tough enough with some a#@hole playing games. Of course... I tend to dislike the Disneyland commercials where the guy calls some Jewelry store and asks if they give 2 for 1 deals like Disneyland does. Sophomoric at best. So.. I suppose my response to this isn't a surprise.....

Ahh yes i remember that circulating late last year... Certainly was up there with the best of em for 08
My favorite line is "I am sending you a revised drawing with the correct number of legs as full payment for any amount outstanding. I trust this will bring the matter to a conclusion.
