Well, my 13yo finally discovered the wonderful world of perfume. I knew it would eventually happen, but I thought I had another five years or so. Overnight, she went from "that smells like a wino on fire" to "take me to the mall".

So, if anyone has any excessively feminine smelling fragrances you're looking to get rid of, feel free to send them to

Ah, the joys of raising teenage daughters Jay. Welcome to the fold boyo. I have one that is graduating high school next year and a nine year old who thinks she is.:lol:

Regards, Todd

Hehehe. You're going to have to endure the painful experience of living with the scent of all the latest teen perfumes. Followed by the wallet-lightening experience of her discovering the good stuff.

A nasty dilemma - do you tell her about the really good stuff like Penhaligon's and then get stuck paying for $100/bottle frags or let her get the dime store stuff and suffer the sugary scents? Maybe get a Pens sampler as a birthday/easter present or something like that.

My 13 y o puts on a scent that is the most sickeningly sweet cotton candy essence that i have ever had the displeasure of smelling. I had to threaten its violent disposal if she ever wore it again. Now, the bottle sits in front of her dressing mirror, its pink effluvium very tightly capped (and thankfully, unused).

Good idea. Her birthday was last month, so I have almost a year to forget.

That's why there are Flea Markets. And the perfume "outlet" at Garden State Plaza. :tongue_sm

She was there on Saturday.

Gee, I just read through this. My daughter is 11, so maybe its another year or two before it hits? :001_rolle

I was hoping I had a few more years myself.
