The VEG, a journey from plastic to glass

I was able to find and acquire a 12 0z. empty bottle of the VEG for the sole purpose of transferring mine from the plastic bottle I own. Here's a pic of the way I received it.




Some of you may say " hey It looks like there may be some left in the bottom" You would be correct. I tried it but it smelled like straight rubbing alcohol.



Oh well, lets clean this sucker up. I found this syringe worked perfectly for filling the bottle with soapy water and filling it with the VEG.

And finally the end product. I'm interested to see how or if it changes the scent.

Awesome.. I've been looking for one of the old bottles for the same reason. I've currently got it in a glass bottle for old McCormick Lemon Extract (One of the big old bottles from the 50s).

You are indeed chosen. I had my finger poised on the "increase bid" button last Tuesday when a voice said to me "Do not bid again. Your Veg is already contained in its vintage cruet."

I'm afraid to know what that went for. Pinaud bottle are ridiculous. But congrats!

I have mine in a small bottle with a Pinaud-like glass shaker hole. I need to get a label on it.
