I love these guns. Somebody must hate me for it but that's fine. It has a smooth as butter DAO trigger and the different configurations make this gun ultimately the best for MY money.
The grip module itself only costing $40 I sawed off a tiny bit of the M1913 rail to give it more of a P229R look. These are my carry pistols. Not both at once though...
New to me 642. I had no intention of buying this gun, I was at the shop yesterday looking for something ultra light for throwing in a pocket. This had just come in on a trade that morning and wasn't even cataloged yet. I asked the guy to hold it for me and I'd pick it up today. Included with it was a Remora style no clip holster.
Incidentally, my wife's sister is visiting for the weekend and was interested in going to the range. I shot 20 rounds with it, and while having it to shoot is better then throwing rocks, it's not better by much. At 18 feet I was hitting printer paper, but it wasn't what I would call "fun".
I've rarely been on B&B lately and while these weren't purchased in July i figured i'd post my acquisitions since i was here last.
First is my Bushmaster Carbon 15 outfitted with various Magpul attachments. This rifle has gotten mixed reviews mainly because of the material it's made out of and it's still to soon to tell how reliable she'll be but i've fired over 1000 rounds through her so far with no problems yet. My wife loves this one as much as i do.
The next one is my S&W M&P .40 i've added a Viridian X5L Laser/Light combo and also replaced the trigger, striker block, and sear with Apex items.
i also bought a Remington 870 12 guage but can't find a pic of her at the moment.
A Webley MK IV in .455 just arrived and I won another Broomhandle (very, very lowball bid, I'm surprised I hit the reserve). Photos of the Webley in the Wheel Gun thread.
It's a big 'un. An accidental Smith & Wesson Heavy Duty. Built on Smith & Wesson's N-Frame. Despite this it's chambered for .38 Special. A revolver I've long wanted to add to the menagerie but wasn't expecting to find this past weekend, wasn't expecting to like (generally prefer blue to nickel), and wasn't expecting the price to become so attractive during negotiation. So, it was an accident.
To get an idea of how large this .38 Special revolver is compared with more popular sizes, here's the Heavy Duty which probably was manufactured in 1954 shown with a K-Frame Military & Police 4-inch also made in 1954, and a J-Frame Chief's Special which was shipped in March of 1952.
