The problem with a really good shave ...

Ah well, not too much of a shave stash yet but that is definitely something I could work on while waiting for my beard to grow

I look forward to shaving with my str8s. I HATED the M-3 thing and the electrics, but I still don't like the concept of shaving in general as opposed to going caveman/Isrealite/Carl Marks/C.T Russell. My skin is of the very sensitive type so I go no less than two days between shaving and get a better shave the longer I go - three days if possible and more if on rare occasion I can get away with it. When I have to shave again I thank the heavens that I have str8s and enjoy every second, still I'd rather not - but I do know what you mean.

The problem with a really good shave is that it's good for two days. That means one day without shaving :bored:
Ain't it the truth.
Even though I regularly only shave every other day, my non-shaving day is often spent feeling the stubble and thinking about the coming shave.
Well ... not the WHOLE day, but you get my point.

As I read that I realized that I've been sitting feeling my stubble all day as well. This could be serious

haha, same here. this morning I was contemplating a shave for tonight because I can usually feel stubble within 12 hrs, but decided against it. cleaned the Fatboy instead so I can give it a go.

I shave every day even though I could probably get by with every other day. It seems easier and quicker to shave every day. Two days and it takes 3 passes. One day and one or two passes does the job.

. . .I must say though - nothing stops me from telling everyone I can about shaving with my straights on the days off.

Man, I look forward to my morning shave. I can't skip a day, no matter how close I cut it the previous morning. The choice among brushes, razors, soaps, creams ***, EDTs, lotions, it's like a waiting gourmet buffet and it's all good. Got some good music on and it's my time to get into the zone.

Yeah, I've talking about leaving my beard for a day to rest the skin but haven't been able too yet . 24 h seems to be enough healing time for me though and as I'm getting better I don't have to worry about nicks and irritation any more.

I shave every other day so I look forward to being able to shave off some growth and hear that, shrrrrrrrrk, sound. I can't do that with a daily shave

2 days requires 3-4 passes for me, so I normally shave every day using 2-3 passes. I could "get by" with a 1 pass every day, but I like to get it a little smoother, and my neck hates ATG or XTG so I just do 2 or 3 WTG on it.

I've never had that problem. A really good shave is only good for 12-15 hours for me.

You lucky ...

If only do WTG my face feels like a sandpaper after 12h too. If I do a more serious shave it's really smooth for a bit more than 24 h. Maybe I should stop trying to achieve those really good shaves
