I wish that there was a fast motor level some days when I'm stuck behind certain vehicles. Hopefully some day a city planner will stumble on this and maybe we'll have some better planned cities.

I wish they would do that here. Being in the south with so much extra land all around the city, they just spread everything out instead of building up. It means you have to drive a while to get anywhere.
On the bright side it means that you get to drive everywhere very fast since the cops can't be everywhere at once perfect for anybody looking to get their daily dose of speed based adrenaline.

There are considerations to use this type of model in Amsterdam.

Famous for its canals and the lack of space for cars, the plan would be install roadways UNDER the canals, using the cut-and-cover tunneling technique invented by Ancient Romans. The canals would be drained, dig down about 30 feet, install a roadway, cover it over with a solid roof, refill the canals.
