The fat

First shave with the fat, very nice, SLICK. This soap is easy and tuff, the lather needs to be set up with very little water. I face lather and there is a small window of not enough and too much. But with the right amount, you get a thick, slick lather. My face does feel different with this soap, I'm not sure if it's the lanolin but this soap is top notch for a great shave

I face lather with it as well.. I tend to use my smaller Vulfix 1000A brush because of the size of the ceramic bowl.

I actually have to use more water with Mitchell's ...ymmv.
+1

I had a hard time learning how to get a good lather from teh Fat. I was to the point of concluding my hard water was the reason. I then saw a YouTube on lathering teh Fat. I wasn't using enough water. Soaking the puck in warm water has also helped tremendously.

MWF likes you to keep using it, this keeps the soap hydrated and easier to use. Have a look at your puck if you don't use it regularly it will develop cracks, etc.

Try using it daily for a whole week and see how you are going getting a lather on the 7th day.

It took me a few tries to learn how to use it. But now it is my go-to soap. I use a Dirty Bird & the lather I get with that beast flows over the top. I cut down the amount I load my brush & it's still incredible. The protection & slickness make it one of the best. But it is the way my face feels later in the day that make The Fat in a class of its own. :001_wub:

As much as I love this soap, it tends to leave my face feeling different some how. I hope I'm not getting some sort of bad reaction from it. I really love this soap but it tends to leave my face a little iratated, please tell me this will go away and my skin will adjust because it is a great shave. Is this a common thing ?

It could be the lanolin, some people do have a reaction to this ingredient.
