What's new

The end of winter, farm fresh steaks on the grill without a parka!

... tonight was the night, snow is gone, 50-something degrees with a slight breeze... spring finally! I just bought half a share of butchered black angus free range beef and have been dying to get the grill going and it looks like the game is officially on. While I grill year round the experience of shoveling a path to your grill and freezing to death while trying to prepare a meal just isn't the same.

Tonight's grill menu was Korean BBQ style twice marinated flank steak and it was a little slice of garlicky, smokey heaven. Can't wait until I have some time and a nice warm day to smoke some ribs and brisket.

Anyone else take advantage of today's mild midwestern weather and fire up the BBQ?

and I'm thinking exactly the same thing!
Can't wait, maybe spark a cigar while I'm at it (I hate standing outside freezing while I smoke).

Not quite steaks, but it was about 70 degrees and sunny here today. The family spent the day at the beach and we roasted weenies and has smores.

But your post has my mouth watering for a nice juicy, rare steak over some charcoal.
