The difference between blades

I have two razors that seem like they should shave very similarly, but my experience with them is quite different. Both are 6/8 Le Grelots ground by TI and purchased new. Both are 3/4 to full hollow ground. Both pop arm hair and hanging hairs equally. The only difference I can find between them is the tang on one is stamped with the number 52 and the other with the number 193. The one with the 193 also has a little sunrise stamped in it.

So, how different could these razors be? Why is my experience so much better with one versus the other? Any thoughts?

I had two exact razors. They were the SRP TI LE editions numbers 38 and 39 and they couldn't have shaved more differently. It's a matter of how they were ground and maybe the forging or tempering. There is still alot of hand work done on razors so there could be a lot of variability. If they figured a way to do it all by machine then they would all be the same.

Interesting observations, gents. Guess that just goes to show you how many individual variables there are when forging straight razors.
