The burnt tire smell

I am not the most picky person when it comes to scents but one thing that I dislike and gives me a headache is the burnt tire smell. I have smelled this on others and know that some fragrances turn to this awful scent after an hour or so.

I sometimes buy fragrances without sampling first and want to avoid purchasing this scent and would like to make a list of juices to avoid.

Which EDC/EDT have you used or know that have or turn into the burnt tire scent?

Bulgari Black is burnt tire + vanilla. I like it.

Fahrenheit is a petroleum monstrosity. More raw gasoline than burnt tire, though.

I love Fahrenheit. I don't get gasoline from it at all. Talk about YMMV

I think tea, as in the case of Bvlgari Black, can have that kind of smell.

Bvulgari is rubber for sure, but not burned rubber.

I'm not sure I've ever smelled anything like burned tires. Some of the vintage cuir de russies and spanish leathers, though, are overly intense on the birch and that might account for something close. But never burned tires.

I say give Fat Electrician by ELDO a go. It's a really nice vetiver with the unmistakable smell of burned wire insulation. One of the best from the house famous for their oddball frags.

Try Fahrenheit. It's more like gear lube than gasoline to me.

I get the burnt tyre note from Midnight in Paris... EdT which is a shame as I think that's the best name for a fragrance ever!!

The first time I wore it I got that too. Hated it and couldn't believe anyone would wear it. Went back to it about a year later, loved it and immediately bought a bottle.

I read somewhere that the burnt tire smell is oolong tea. They say if you smell oolong tea it is exactly that smell.
