Following the Clubman Milk experiment, I decided to make a new mix since it's warmer out there.

Here's the Brut Witch Rub:

It's 1:1:1 Brut, Witch Hazel, Osage Rub.

First test drive tonight.

Post shave 1. It works! But of course, it would work. Those 3 liquids could be used as Aftershave by themselves.

Now, it's been a very short period since I mixed it so the mixture is still cloudy. I believe that @Tanuki had a similar experience with Richard's Rub.
New in the den:

Richard's Rub - equal parts Dickinson's witch hazel toner (water base) and Osage Rub

The name is a tribute to my ski buddy Richard, who was known as Dick until his wife put the kibosh on that.

The toner tones down the alcoholic kick of the Rub. The Rub nearly wipes out the rose scent of my bottle of the toner. The rose scent doesn't stick around long, but it annoys me nonetheless.

It might get less milky as time goes by...

In my case, Brut seems to overpower Osage Rub. The mentholated effect is still there. Overall, if you like Brut with Menthol, it's a good solution.

I now need to start thinking about a Lilac Vegetal that would be more pleasant for the non-chosen ones!

Overpowering the Osage Rub! Brut is one tough brute. Oddly, it is an AS I've yet to try.

My Richard's Rub eventually settles clear, but a little haze still kicks up as soon as I lift either my small bottle in the den or the 12 oz mother lode.

I can still smell Osage Rub but it smells more like Brut than Osage Rub. It might change over time. Mine is still cloudy. I will check back in a week or so.

10 days later, the mix is still cloudy. The mixture works well, it's a good way to stretch my bottle of Brut (it's what I have left of the Splash-on Brut made in Australia).

Great idea for a DIY aftershave blend! If you want to stretch your Brut more (& get more of the Osage Rub menthol kick) you can obviously have the proportions be different. Once you've got it to where you want it, please share with us your final recipe & also consider adding the recipe to the Badger Blends wiki page.

For the record, the mix is still cloudy but it doesn't affect the performance at all. I'm getting to the bottom of the bottle soonish.

Try equal parts of Lustray blue spice and Stephan’s Lilac. Makes an amazing blend. It reminds me of the old barbershop I used to go to. (He used to have a bottle of lilac vegetal that he would use)

I don’t have access to those two like in the US.

The mix will contain Pinaud Lilac Vegetal for sure. I have a few ideas for the mix already…

Using the water based witch hazel is going to make your mixture cloudy. Use an alcohol based wh like Dickinson.
