The 45 buck pack of Rapira !

A LOSER and a BOSS. Mind-boggling...
Don't you understand? It's double the fun... double the indecision each morning. Just kidding.

About those old Rapiras. I know that many people in Ukraine believe that America is a rich place on earth. After all there is a sucker born every minute. Oh and regarding the vintage, until a few years ago this product line was still being produced. My intuition tells me that somebody bought a pack of blades that was sitting idle for some time at the grocery store of the neighborhood.

I have a box of 100 Rapiras gathering dust in the bottom drawer of my den (aka, the main bathroom). Maybe I ought to offer them up on the B/S/T for only $2 each. A relative bargain, for sure. :shifty:

No, it seems they are at least 20 years old. They have been produced since early 80s when the factory was equipped with new equipment to make modern stainless steel blades. I hope it was upgraded though some signs tell me it wasn't.
But there is much much better offer on ebay: the same blades but they were used - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Russian-USSR-Safety-Razor-Blades-RAPIRA-RAPIER-487-/261040999727.

It seems as if antique vendors from ex-soviet countries have never heard of supply and demand. There should be a lot of unused soviet blades gathering dust, people used to hoard common consumables because of supply shortages.
