I decided a little while ago that I wanted to try out a 2 band brush, so I decided on the TGN 2 band finest 24mm knot. I received the knot and seemed pretty high quality. Since it was my first 2 band, I didn't know what to look for. It seemed to have more backbone than my 30mm Whipped Dog and a bit more 'scritchy'. I knew that this was pre break-in, so I had high hopes! I didn't want any ordinary handle, so I decided to pick up a 24mm firehouse handle from Larry. I'm sure glad I did! It took a little bit of time to receive, but I understand the fact that it's a handmade piece mad on a per basis.

Now let's talk about performance... I've been bowl lathering for since I started wet shaving (about a month ago). I never thought I'd face lather because I like the idea of bowl lathering. It seems more fun. I decided to finally take the plunge in face lathering and glad I did! I loaded up the brush with Proarso green croap and went to town! I didn't need to shave that day, but I got 4 full face lathers and still squeezed more lather out of the brush while cleaning. I was more than impressed!
I'm very pleased with this brush and look forward to using it more!
