Taylor's getting crusty in the tub?

I have fairly new tub of ToBS Mr. Taylor scent, and I noticed that the top of the cream seems to have an almost crusty texture to it. If I stir it, the cream seems normal, and it still lathers exactly like you'd expect (easily one of the best I know).

Anybody else have this experience?

Yes......

I bought a tub last month and it had the crust right out of the box. Not really a crisp crust...more of a slight darkening. The cream is fine though, as you say. Just mix it a bit...

I don't know if this explains it, but my tub is one of the newer "parabens free"
TOBS formulations. Parabens are used as a preservative, so maybe their absence has an effect on the product in some way.

Check to see if your tub is "parabens free."

Cheers!

It's possible. I've had an old formula jar of TOBS Mr. Taylor for over a year now and the product composition is as good as when I purchased it.

Yes, Taylor's is a dryer sort of shaving mixture, so it's pretty standard for it to get almost dry, cracked or chalky looking in the tub. As long as you've been keeping the tub closed, it is totally fine and will lather nicely when you wet it (as you've discovered).

Cheers!
