Tale of Wisdom

An old Cherokee once told his grandson, “A fight is going on inside me. It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked, “Which wolf will win?” The old Cherokee replied, “The one you feed the most.”

Thanks for posting that. I needed the reminder that our behavior and attitude are closely linked, and one affects the other.

Watch your thoughts for they become words.
Watch your words for they become actions.
Watch your actions for they become habits.
Watch your habits for they become your character.
And watch your character for it becomes your destiny.
What we think, we become

It is interesting how different cultures have different ways of communicating philosophical truths. However, sooner or later almost all of them reach the same point.

I'm a pretty big supporter of "Just don't be a douche" which works out for me, I don't have to be super nice and friendly with everyone, but I also don't have to be rude or obnoxious.
