Table top radio advice

I've been looking for a radio for my master bathroom. So far, I'm leaning towards a Tivoli Model One. I'd appreciate any advice.

Thanks, Mike

I have a Tivoli M1 and it's nice but I don't like the way it tunes. It looks like there are too many stations (FM) and it can't get the right tuning and then even if you get it, it can't keep it for long. I have to continuously go to the radio and re-tune.
Want mine? :biggrin1:

I've had a Model One for almost a decade. It has one of the best tuners I've ever used and excellent sound considering the size of the radio.

I have two Model 1; one in my wife's and my bedroom, the other in the guest room. I liked the sound so much of the first one we got, I wanted guests to have something nice to listen to. With the Aux port, you can buy a cable and listen to whatever you want. It's a great radio.

Do you want one that runs on batteries too?
if so, your options are very limited.
I went through this last year and ended up with the Sangean PR-D5.
Very good sound. I would check them out too.
not as pretty, but when I'm bouncing around from room to room it's great

If you enjoy listening to radio, you might want to consider an Internet radio like the Grace Digital GDI-IRD4500m. The audio quality may be a notch below the Tivoli, but you'll get thousands of stations, Pandora, access to SirusXM (for a fee), weather channels, podcasts and more. I've set up mine play my MP3 collection as well which is on a home server.

For your bathroom? Do you want a "shower" radio? I imagine you don't want to spend big bucks for this- something to listen to when you shave? Please elaborate.
