Surprisingly underpriced

Jameson. Can be had for less than $20 in my hometown in Michigan. Worth much more than that as a session whisky.

Nice thing about Michigan is all alcohol is the same price no matter where you are buying it so no price shopping..

Some of the old scents, cologne or aftershave, that I like I feel like I am stealing it when all these newer ones are 60 or 70 bucks and I am picking up one for about 10 to 15.

I paid 20 for a liter of Paddy's Irish. Easily worth more than that. Best sale ever, and a fine example of Irish whiskey.

I don't know if I feel guilty about it , but I think Gordon's Dry Gin is much nicer than the bottom-shelf price one pays.

I used to buy a 100% blue argave añejo sipping tequila called Origine which was FANTASTIC and it only cost about $40 a bottle. To give you a comparison Patron is about $130 a bottle here. Even when I went on the wagon I kept a couple of bottles of the Origine stockpiled for visitors and emergencies.

In the Philippines you can get a bottle of 12-15 year-old Tanduay rum for about $3-$5. :w00t::blushing: ... I guess :w00t: wins out in the end.

McClelland pipe tobaccos in the USA. Typically $7.50-10 a tin. So much work and effort goes into these fine tobaccos and when you consider that a 50gr tin will yield about 25 medium sized smokes, an absolute barGOOn! You can't even use a pay phone for 25c anymore. In 2010, where you gonna get 40 minutes of pleasure for a quarter!

purchases of the underpriced value kind are always unexpected for me. I agree a fifth of jamesons is worth every penny, but i have numerous buys from swap meets, ebay snags, and mom and pop antique shops i would have easily paid 10 times as much for! examples:

Karl Erik hand carved freehand dutch pipe...numbered... for 8 bucks...near perfect condition...values at 150 easily...

blades that have become my daily shavers for 5 bucks on ebay...worth tons more to me despite market value...

honda shaddow 1100 i gave nothing more than a song for...gave me more pleasure and satisfaction than i could possibly have paid for...

anyone else experince the same?

I just bought a 2004 BMW 545 for about $5,000 less than what I would have expected. I'm still ecstatic with it two months later. Other than that, I'll pay for quality, cheap stuff usually leaves me dissatisfied. New Castle Brown Ale, Johnnie Walker black, and Metropolis coffee are my favorite drinks. Well those and Diet Coke.
Nice thing about Michigan is all alcohol is the same price no matter where you are buying it so no price shopping..
??? I have not found that to be the case, here on the west side of the state...

Trader Joes has some very low prices on wine. I picked up 4 bottles (a Tempranillo, Granache, and two sparkling varieties) for under $25 yesterday. Not too shabby.

Totally. This is the reason why so many Australians think "real" tequila has a dead scorpion in it or a plastic hat on the bottle. For the price of a mid level tequila we can get a top shelf scotch.

The only tequila 99% of Australians have tried was in a giant jug of margarita at a Mexican theme restaurant at happy hour. Sad. :crying:

I know Evan Williams Black Label is a a bottom shelf Bourbon but at $15.99 for
1.75 LTR I can't help but feeling a little guilty.
Inexpensive but highly drinkable.
