Violated a cardinal principle today: try only one new thing at a time. I had gotten a new brush (20 mm super from New Forest) and had to try that. I put a new kind of blade in the razor, a Medical Prep Personna. And mixed TOBS lavender soap with TOBS lavender cream in a tub. A great shave! I knew trying too many new things at once confounds differences, but I figured the lather wouldn't be that different from the MWF I had been using, and the new super brush wouldn't be that different from another Super I had been using. No new shaving preps (just a shower and Proraso preshave), and the same Merkur HD 34 C razor. So I think I could tell the difference with the quality of the blade. Best blade I've tried yet. (Only comparisons so far are with Derbur, Merkur, Bic, and Israeli Personna).
