Superlather Every Day?

I just made my first superlather ever last night (tabac and speick). It was amazing to say the least and will become part of my rotation but I wouldn't do it every night.

Some I know do every day, but I believe most use it to enhance the performance of certain products. I use Kiss My Face with Caswell Massey Almond Shave Cream. Caswell Massey is the worst shave cream I own but I like the scent and with the Kiss My Face it makes a great lather.

Ooo, I was wondering what to do with that Almond Massey. Makes an OK hand soap as well.

I've been doing it pretty much every day since I picked up by first tube of C.O. Bigelow, but thinking I may back off a bit to experience the subtleties of some newly acquired soaps. Worried about not getting as high quality lather though. We'll see what happens.

I go through periods when I'll do it every day. So many delicious and awe-inspiring combinations out there. But then I'll back off for a while and take a breath. I make a point to try and learn the subtleties of every product I have, and give them each their fair share of 'alone time.' Not that I put any in the corner. Unless they've been bad. Naughty soaps and creams. Anyway, I think it's respectful to give each product its fair share of time in the limelight. And once they've been mastered, better superlather can be whipped up when the time comes. And it always does, for me. :001_cool:

I'll make it every so often. Its a nice change, but I get a great lather from soaps almost every time. The super lather is quick to make, and some days just feel like a super day.   :001_rolle

everyday, it takes 2 min to make it so why not?

Agreed.

The first thing I do out of the shower is to rub a shaving cream on my whiskers sans brush. I work it in for a minute or so. Then I prepare for the shave by getting a lather worked up on my soap.

Really doesn't take much more time, and the results are great.

Nope.

Rarely in fact although I do still make it occassionally for a change of pace. Variety is the spice of life and my first taste of it every day is during my shave! Different brush, soap/cream, razor & aftershave!

Caswell Massey is the worst shave cream

Their soap is amazingly pathetic also, but the wooden bowls are nice.

But, as you said, CM scents are very nice, and mixing the soap with KMF or Real shaving cream makes a fantastic super-lather -- a great way to salvage what was going to be a complete waste of money. :thumbup1:

Yes . . .go for super lather every day . . . how else are we going to use up stuff as quickly as we buy it otherwise?

I made my first true superlather today and I am now basking in a glow that only a BBS can bring. I used AOS unscented soap and AOS unscented cream. This was easily the best lather I have ever seen or heard about. Four warm passes in all directions and a BBS that ranks among my top five shaves ever. I may be doing this superlather thing for a while.
