Super Duper Awesome Service Recovery with Creed

Last week I posted this about my shopping experience at Neiman Marcus:
http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=91485

I mentioned this to the US Creed distributor on their website, and did not hear anything back...until today!!

Today I got a call from the US account executive from Creed US apologizing for my shopping experience at Neiman Marcus. She mentioned their go-to person was out that day, and that they have called that particular store to let them know they were disapointed on my behalf.

This evening, the Creed specialist for Neiman Marcus will be calling me, and I will let you all know how it goes!

There is a lot to be said for service recovery!!!

Well I got a call a very nice Creed specialist from Neiman Marcus this afternoon. She was very sorry for what happened, and gave me a history of Creed and acted almost as a scent counselor.

It turns out there is a special Creed boutique within Neiman Marcus (something that the prior salesman failed to mention)!

Anyways, Creed is sending me what they described as a "goodie bag". I will post pictures when it arrives, but my guess is it is a whole bunch of samples.

I'd expect it to also contain the severed hand of the derelict clerk. Creed takes customer service seriously.

Which Neiman Marcus was this....I need to call and complain so that I can get a goody bag!

Well I got an apology call today from the General Manager at the Neiman Marcus I visited last week. Since I never brought this up with Neiman Marcus I guess Creed did it on my behalf!!

If you ever decide to visit the Neiman Marcus again, let us know if that clerk still works there.

Hmm...Maybe Creed really didn't care. That really is sad. If they expect people to pay $200+ for their colognes, they should provide top-of-the-line customer service.

I think they care. I have been in email contact with the sales rep. The package was supposed to leave last Friday...I just have a hard time thinking it would take 6 days to arrive when I only live 60 miles away

UNLESS

The salesman who wronged me is being forced to walk it to me.

I wouldn't give up yet. They are serious about good service. Enough to generate two apology calls so I'm sure the goodies will come through. We had a bad experience with shoes once and the dept. manager gave us her personal cell in case we had any other questions or problems. Wish I could shop there all the time...

Von Maur has some excellent customer service too with pretty similar prices. I don't know if they have Creed though. Haven't been there in a while.

It seems that Creed is serious about customer service. It seems like they have already gone "above" and the goodies will be "beyond." Keep us posted.

I bet that they're sending it from Creed Central--probably their central distribution point in the US. Remember--all things come to those who wait.

I think that it's coming from the Creed warehouse probably and not the Neiman Marcus you visited. That may be why it's taking a little longer than expected

Creed service is awesome, emailed asking for samples a week ago, received a phone call from Neiman Marcus asking what type of cologne do I prefer so that she can send me what I like and she also said that if I do not like what she will send to please call her back and tell her that so that she can send me more. Then an email arrives later today to that effect and to inform me that I will be receiving the samples shortly, what a service and I have not paid a penny yet, talk about making customers and free advertisement, first class service, period.
