So I'm getting ready to make my jump into straight razor shaving (got me a shave-ready Boker Edelweiss for it!) but was curious about the various strop materials. I'm sure they would all do the job and it comes down to personal preference, but what are y'all's personal preferences? Latigo? Bridle? Horsehide? Buffalo? Why do you prefer what you do? And on the flipside... Are there any specific pros/cons to linen, cotton, or wool felt? Some of this has probably been said before in other threads, but I couldn't find any one thread that seemed to ask for all of this... So I thought I'd do it here.
