Strolling After Honing

Just curious, do you gentlemen strop on linen and leather after honing or just leather? I know the standard for stropping after a coticule is linen and leather but was wondering what those that use other finishing methods do.

A lot of people say to strop on just leather (no linen) after honing on JNAT. I, for one, am not sure why this is...can anyone elaborate on this?

I strop on linen to clean the edge and then leather after I hone, no matter if I'm honing on Jnat, coti or film.

Well, my wife usually tells me to "take a hike" after I make a mess out of the kitchen sink area honing.
