Stranded on an Island What would you have as shaving necessities?

Rule is you can only have ONE-razor, blade, cream/soap, brush, pre-shave, post shave

I want to know what you must have lineup would be.

No razor at all. I would rather keep something else in my hands than a razor if I am stranding. It would be something that could help me to survive. Besides, I would have a cool beard when getting rescued.

Razor - Gillette Fatboy because of it's adjustable nature.

Blade - Gillette 7 O'clock (blacks) they're a great combo of sharp and smooth for my skin.

Soap - Tabac because it provides great cushion, slickness and beard softening properties.

Cream - Trumpers "Coconut" It's a island, may as well make it a tropical one...

Brush - Semogue 610 because I find I'm really enjoying short loft boars and it works great with soaps or creams.

Pre Shave - Thayers Original Witch Hazel. I actually use it as a pre-shave, It has a very slick feel to it when rubbed on the face and I've gone through other "pre-shave" creams/oils/gels and Thayers Original is just as good as any of those. But I've found the Original Thayers with the white label is the only one I've tried out of the other Thayers scents that have the slickness to it.

Post Shave - 444 balm... great skin moisturizing properties and I'm assuming it would be hot on this island and there's not much out there outside Osage rub or pure menthol that is colder than the 444 balm.

Why would you need to shave when stranded on an island? Is there a mirror? I think there are some logistical issues.

If I had to though I would have my Weber w/ some Strop Shoppe soap.

Think about the possibility to grow beard without anyone laughing at you. When rescued you can partly cut it and see how you would look like with beard/mustache before removing everything.

Rinsing with salt water????? Really, don't have a nick or cut. Pouring salt on an open wound, OUCH! It would really dry out your face. Gives new meaning to the term OLD SALT, lol. Grow the beard to help keep the sun from scorching your face.

If you boil it and have some way to catch the vapors you'll be all good. Example

I've shaved without a mirror. I've also shaved with a bar of face washing soap. It's better than canned lather IMO. I have had bad vision and I shave without glasses. Feel, to me, is just as important as a shaving angle.

I've had worse shaves than blind men and seen those with better skin than me.

Given that other survival necessities are given I would have to say...
Parker 22r since that's my preferred razor of the two I own.
Wilkinson Sword or Derby blade (just because its forgiving; especially in less than ideal situation).
Good old soap and hot water for a preshave would suffice.
TOBS lemon lime cream.
I like Clubman AS and OS Lime so far, but the island situation would have to be rum. Not Bay Rum... Good old fashioned rum so I could drink my aftershave and have a one man party.

If other survival necessities weren't provided for I would probably decide that its a good time to use a straight. It could serve multiple purposes. Would want to use it for chopping down trees, but I would imagine it could do just fine cutting food without damaging the blade.

Yeah, the desert island hypothetical just doesn't work. The only one I recall who didn't shave stranded on the island were the boys from Lord of the Flies. How about: you're packing for the space flight to Mars....
