Storing soap...newbie question

Many of you rotate through soaps you have. I'm sure many don't have bowls for all of their soaps. My simple question is, where do you store the soaps when not using them? Is there a cheap alternative to the more expensive bowls?

You can use any cheap container or coffee mug. Covers prolong the scent power IMO. Melt and pour base glycerin soaps can be melted into anything, softer soaps like Arko can be smashed, and everything else can be milled into a container.

I store my soaps in a plastic tub that I bought at Mama Bears for $1.80 each. They are double walled and have a black lid and much nicer than the picture indicates. I also have a label machine so that I know what soap is in the container. Link to travel container

Nice that is what i am looking for. I appreciate it Cuttingboard.

Your welcome...I bought a Dymo label maker at Staples for $30 and 5 of these tubs for $10. So I invested $40 and the tubs with labels look very nice and stacks nicely in my bathroom cabinet. If you buy Trumper's soap refills, you'll have to shave the edges a little but Penhaligon's fit nicely. The picture below is not mine but this is where I copied my idea from and the thread for more ideas:

nice. i've been looking for a nice travel container and those seem pretty reasonable. might be a good time to order a few along with some mama bear soaps.

OR...you could go with a pyrex/anchor hocking 1 cup glass bowl with a lid. That's what I use and love em. They are around $8.00 for 4.

I bought eight of the 4oz and four of the 8oz containers shown below today (from Sunburst). Ill bust out the label maker when they arrive.

Col Conks & VHD will be melted into the 4oz
Williams and one from Classic Shaving will be milled into the 4oz
The 8oz I bought for larger pucks I buy down the road.

I keep all my active soaps in Old Spice mugs or the tin it came in (PdP).

If I decide to rotate a puck out of circulation for a while I pry it out of the mug and put it in a ziplock bag.

I need to buy more Old Spice mugs.

I like your approach. Nice job.

Coffee mugs or those Anchor bowls from Walmart are other alternatives.

I'm still really loving the idea of those containers from mamma bears, but you guys have a lot of other great ideas. Pyrex is a great but I'm afraid my wife would use them before I would. Myuserid, those are a cheap alternative as well. I'm going to look into those, as well as the ziploc bowls. So many options.

I keep my VDH and Williams in mugs, I bought the Tabac in the jar. I kind of like the idea of having the actual manufacture container to refill.
