Stores in the US

Hi there

I live in Norway and I am going to visit the US in december. Seeing as traditional shaving equipment is pretty expensive here in Norway, I'd like to buy some stuff when I'm over the pond. Does anyone know of "physical" stores where I could purchase straight razors, brushes and other stuff? I'm planning on staying there for 2-3 weeks, and I'm visiting Miami, Fort Lauderdale, NYC, LA, San Fransisco and other cities as well. If anyone could tell me about stores in the mentioned cities I'd be very happy. :)

Many thanks in advance!

Go to Pasteurs Pharmacy at 62nd & Lexington, and Cambridge Chemists at Lexington and 64th St. Trust me, you won't need to go anywhere else.

Don't forget to check out some of the drugstores for commonly available, inexpensive shaving supplies. Don't know how much of this stuff you're familiar with, but look for:

William's Mug Soap and Aqua Velva Aftershave (made by same company)
Van Der Hagen Boar Brush and Soap
Burt's Bees products
Old Spice AfterShave and Cologne
Brut

Bath and Body Works have stores all over the country ... their C.O. Bigelow line of men's care is highly regarded, and reasonably priced.

Various department stores have upscale products and brands ... Jack Black, Anthony Logistics, Billy Jealousy, Art of Shaving.

Finally, don't forget to patronize some of the online vendors you'll find here ... MamaBear, Lee's Razors, St. Charles Soaps, Dirty Bird Pottery, WestCoastShaving (sorry if I left anybody out, its a long list.) You can place your orders and have everything drop-shipped to be held at the the last hotel you stay at prior to your return to Norway.
