Sticky ingredient ?

After a few years of nothing but Ogallala, I've started exploring aftershaves a bit more lately, mostly on the cheaper end but want to move up. I've noticed that several (master's bay rum, aqua velva, pinaud bay rum) leve my face feeling sticky, with the Master's being the worst. It's not 3 stacks of pancakes sticky, but I don't like it. I don't have this issue with Ogallala, Captain's Choice, Clubman, or Florida Water. I suppose the definitive answer would come from listing ingredients and seeing what's in the sticky one that isn't in the others, but I thought I'd see if anyone knew of a sticky component offhand, as I'd like to avoid it. Thanks!

I like Masters but that is one reason I never used it much. It has a slight tackiness to it. I do know that if you add glycerin to your AS it is very easy for it to become tacky. A very fine line there like maybe by a drop.

Masters was the absolute worst. The other two are tolerable but not ideal. I notice that the AV lists glycerin, that may well be the culprit.

Glycerin is the culprit. A little is nice. Too much is not.

You can try adding in a little unscented witch hazel to see if you can "cut" the store stuff down to where it feels nicer for you
