Just thought I'd throw out some praise for both vendors. I recently made an order, and both got shipped out promptly and well packaged.
Despite some saying they had trouble making lather for their first time, and that Mike's is very thirsty, I was able make at least a decent lather for my first time using a shave soap and brush. The smell was very nice, and I'm not a huge scents guy, I first used lavandin and eucalyptus. It even lasted quite some time after the shave despite some nivea AS. Mike even left a handwritten thank-you. I'm sure many of you have experienced this, but this post is to reiterate a great experience and my recommendation to anyone who hasn't tried it!
Star shaving was also wonderful to buy from, and they were the other part of my brand new wet shaving experience. For a budget, their brushes were a no-brainer to me along with the strops. Great quality stuff, and Ron even got back to me on some questions about things which was great. I've felt much more expensive brushes, but really liked the Frank Shaving brushes he carries, and on my first lathers both the boar and badger were quite nice on the face. I still can't decided which I like more!
