Stand Issue

I ordered a stand and it neither fits my brush or DE. It seems that if I could stretch it a little, they would both fit beautifully.
Does anyone have experience with trying to open the arms of a stand a little?

What type stand is it? Plated wire? With plated wire if you bend it a bit too much you'll crack the chrome plating.

Not totally sure. I doubt it's wire because it's incredibly strong. No luck bending it so far.

Post a pic of the part in question, I'm sure we can come up with a relatively undamaging idea.

If it's the kind I'm picturing it's flat metal, say 1/16" thick? If so, grinding the insides of the "fork" with a Dremel or some such tool might be your only option. The missing plating would be a concern but you could touch it up with enamel.
